Dynamics of paramagnetic colloidal clusters. In collaboration with my colleagues at the LCP-A2MC lab, Lydiane Bécu and Hong Xu, we study the dynamics of clusters of paramagnetic particles under a time-varying magnetic field. The field induces the self-assembly of the particles and controls the cluster motion, a setup with technological applications in chemistry and optics and a fundamental interest as an analogy to active matter. This topic is studied in the thesis of Mohammed Elismaili.
